Des Moines Wedding and Engagement Photography: Jason and Miranda

Des Moines, Iowa - On May 26th of this year, 2018, I traveled to a farm just outside of Bondurant, Iowa. Geisler Farms hosts weddings all summer long and is a popular wedding venue for those in the Des Moines area. I can see why, great location, nice people. The farm has recently added a new barn with a place for brides to get ready and also an area that looks like it could hold receptions or ceremonies. Great wedding venue in the Des Moines area.

I first met Jason and Miranda in the fall of 2017. We met in Iowa Falls, Iowa for their engagement session. The location was more or less in the middle of where they lived in Des Moines and where I live in Charles City. Plus, I once lived there and so I sort of knew where to go. First few photos are from that session.

The Des Moines wedding was a great time. Jason and Miranda have some really nice friends and family. It was also really cool to see their children involved in the wedding. The day was so incredibly hot - almost 100 degress!!! - that the ceremony and all festivities were moved indoors. I am positive the guests appreciated that.

Great couple, great day. I really enjoyed shooting in a new location and had a blast working with the couple. I wish them the absolute best!
